Editorial Process

ACADEMIA Nextgen Management Journal (ANMJ)

At ACADEMIA Nextgen Management Journal, we uphold a transparent, ethical, and academically rigorous editorial process. Each manuscript is carefully reviewed to ensure it aligns with our standards of scholarly excellence, integrity, and relevance to contemporary management studies. The editorial workflow from submission to publication is outlined below:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors are required to submit their manuscripts through the official NMJ submission portal:
???? https://academia.edu.pk/index.php/nmj/
Submissions must adhere to the journal’s formatting guidelines, referencing style, and ethical policies as described in the Author Instructions.

2. Initial Screening and Plagiarism Check

Once received, each manuscript undergoes preliminary screening by the editorial team to ensure that it:

  • Falls within the scope of NMJ (e.g., management, leadership, organizational studies, innovation, etc.)

  • Complies with research ethics and consent protocols

  • Passes a plagiarism check using industry-standard tools (e.g., Turnitin)

Note: Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 10% may be returned for revision or rejected.

3. Editorial Assignment

If the manuscript passes initial screening, it is assigned to a Section Editor or an Associate Editor based on the subject area. The editor assesses its relevance, academic contribution, and technical soundness.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

Qualified manuscripts enter the double-blind peer review process to ensure unbiased evaluation. Two or more independent reviewers assess the manuscript on:

  • Originality and theoretical contribution

  • Methodological quality and analytical rigor

  • Practical relevance to management or business environments

  • Ethical considerations and clarity of presentation

5. Reviewer Recommendations

Based on their evaluations, reviewers submit one of the following recommendations:

Accept
✏️ Minor Revisions Required
???? Major Revisions Required (Revise and Resubmit)
Reject

6. Editorial Decision

The Section Editor, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief if necessary, makes the final decision guided by reviewer input. A formal decision letter along with anonymized reviewer comments is sent to the corresponding author.

7. Author Revisions

Authors must submit revised manuscripts within the specified timeframe, along with a detailed, point-by-point response to reviewer comments. Depending on the nature of revisions, the manuscript may either:

  • Be re-reviewed by the original reviewers

  • Or be assessed directly by the editorial team

8. Final Acceptance

Once all revisions meet the journal’s standards, the manuscript is formally accepted for publication.

9. Copyediting and Proofing

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting for grammar, formatting, consistency, and academic tone. Authors are provided with final proofs for review before publication.

10. Online Publication

The final, peer-reviewed article is published in the upcoming issue of NMJ and made available open access under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.

11. Post-Publication Promotion

NMJ actively promotes published articles through:

  • Indexing in academic and research databases

  • Social media outreach and professional networks

  • Email newsletters and academic partnerships

Authors are encouraged to share and cite their work to increase its impact across the management research community.
