Correction & Retraction Policy

ACADEMIA Nextgen Management Journal (ANMJ)

????️ 1. Purpose of Corrections

ANMJ is committed to maintaining the accuracy, credibility, and transparency of the scholarly record. Corrections are issued when published content contains genuine errors that may impact interpretation, data clarity, or academic understanding. These actions preserve trust in management research and uphold the journal’s editorial integrity.

✏️ 2. Types of Corrections

  • Erratum (Publisher-Initiated):
Issued when an error is introduced during the editorial or publication process (e.g., formatting mistakes, incorrect references or figures) that does not affect the core findings of the article.

  • Corrigendum (Author-Initiated):
Issued when authors identify a substantive post-publication error that impacts clarity, interpretation, or presentation but does not compromise the validity of the research.

⚙️ 3. Correction Procedure

  • Error Detection:
Errors may be identified by authors, readers, editors, or peer reviewers.

  • Editorial Evaluation:
The editorial board assesses the scope and impact of the error on the study’s integrity and conclusions.

  • Issuing a Correction:
When deemed appropriate, a correction notice is published and linked to the original article, ensuring transparency without altering the original version.

???? 4. Visibility and Indexing

All correction notices are:

  • Published on the journal’s website

  • Linked to the original article

  • Indexed in academic databases (e.g., CrossRef, Google Scholar) for record integrity and discoverability

❌ Retraction Policy

???? 1. Purpose of Retractions

Retractions are issued to withdraw published work that is found to be scientifically invalid or ethically problematic. This action safeguards the academic record and prevents the spread of flawed or compromised research.

???? 2. Grounds for Retraction

  • Research Misconduct:
Proven instances of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or misrepresentation.

  • Ethical Violations:
Lack of ethical approval, conflicts of interest, or unauthorized use of human/animal data.

  • Critical Errors:
Major methodological or analytical flaws that render the results unreliable and cannot be corrected through an erratum or corrigendum.

???? 3. Retraction Procedure

  • Investigation:
The editorial board initiates an internal review, possibly involving reviewers, co-authors, or institutional bodies.

  • Editorial Decision:
Guided by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), a final decision is made regarding retraction.

  • Retraction Notice:
A formal notice is published detailing the reason for retraction.
The original article remains online, clearly marked as “RETRACTED” for historical transparency.

???? 4. Indexing and Transparency

  • All retraction notices are:

    • Publicly accessible

    • Indexed in relevant databases

    • Cross-linked to the retracted article

⚖️ 5. Ethical Governance

ANMJ adheres to the ethical publishing standards recommended by:

  • COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)

  • Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan

All corrections and retractions are executed with fairness, impartiality, and academic responsibility.
