Editorial Process

ACADEMIA International Journal of Clinical & Translational Health (AIJCTH)

At the ACADEMIA International Journal of Clinical & Translational Health (AIJCTH), we are committed to a transparent, ethical, and academically rigorous editorial process. Every manuscript undergoes thorough evaluation to ensure scientific merit, clinical relevance, methodological soundness, and ethical compliance. The editorial workflow from submission to publication is outlined below:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit manuscripts via the AIJCTH online submission system:
???? https://academia.edu.pk/index.php/AIJCTH/
Submissions should comply with the journal’s formatting guidelines, referencing style (e.g., Vancouver or APA), and ethical standards as outlined in the Author Guidelines.

2. Initial Screening and Plagiarism Check

Upon receipt, all submissions are screened by the editorial office to ensure they:

  • Align with the scope of AIJCTH (e.g., clinical research, translational medicine, public health, biomedical sciences)

  • Comply with ethical research practices, including human/animal subject approvals where applicable

  • Pass a plagiarism check using standard tools (e.g., Turnitin)

Note: Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 10% may be returned for revision or rejected outright.

3. Editorial Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial check are assigned to a Section Editor or Associate Editor based on subject specialization. Editors evaluate submissions for scientific quality, clinical relevance, and compliance with ethical research practices.

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

AIJCTH employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness and objectivity. Two or more qualified external reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and scientific contribution

  • Methodological rigor and statistical validity

  • Clinical and translational relevance

  • Ethical soundness and clarity of presentation

5. Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

Accept
✏️ Minor Revisions Required
???? Major Revisions Required (Revise and Resubmit)
Reject

6. Editorial Decision

The assigned editor, in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief when needed, makes the final publication decision. The corresponding author receives a formal decision letter, including anonymized reviewer feedback.

7. Author Revisions

Authors are expected to revise and resubmit within the given timeframe, accompanied by a detailed, point-by-point response to reviewer comments. Depending on the revisions:

  • Manuscripts may be sent back to reviewers for re-evaluation

  • Or reviewed directly by the editorial team for final assessment

8. Final Acceptance

If all criteria are satisfactorily met, the manuscript is accepted for publication.

9. Copyediting and Proofing

Accepted manuscripts are professionally copyedited for grammar, structure, referencing, and style. Final proofs are shared with authors for final approval before publication.

10. Online Publication

The peer-reviewed article is published in the forthcoming issue of AIJCTH and made openly accessible under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) license.

11. Post-Publication Promotion

AIJCTH actively disseminates published content through:

  • Academic indexing and abstracting services

  • Social media and professional platforms

  • Research networks and newsletters

Authors are encouraged to share and cite their work to expand its impact across the global medical and scientific communities.
