Dr. Rasheed Amjad (1940–2021) was a seminal figure in modern Urdu literature, celebrated for his mastery of symbolic storytelling and his profound influence on the evolution of the Urdu short story (afsana). Rasheed Amjad began writing short stories after 1960 and soon entered the literary mainstream. Initially, he portrayed real life in his works but later gained recognition as a symbolic writer. Alongside his work in teaching, research, and criticism, he continued to write short stories. Rasheed Amjad has authored eleven collections of short stories. This research article focuses on analyzing his collection of short stories titled "Set Range Prindey Ke Ta'aqub Mein," where even silence speaks and every empty space holds a profound message.
