Abstract

The incorporation of fancy yarns in weaving signifies a notable advancement within the textile industry, effectively merging artistic creativity with technical proficiency. These yarns, characterized by irregularities in texture, structure, and color, offer weavers a wide array of opportunities to explore diverse design expressions. Fancy yarns, including slubbed, metallic, bouclé, chenille, and marl varieties, enhance the aesthetic and tactile properties of woven fabrics, contributing to increased texture, depth, and visual complexity. This article examines the various applications of fancy yarns in weaving, their utilization, and the challenges associated with their integration into weaving techniques.
