At ACADEMIA Tech Frontiers Journal (ATFJ), we are committed to a transparent, ethical, and academically rigorous editorial process. Each manuscript submitted undergoes a structured evaluation to ensure technological relevance, scholarly quality, and adherence to ethical research practices. The following workflow outlines the complete editorial journey from submission to publication:

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors must submit their manuscripts through the official ATFJ submission portal:
???? https://academia.edu.pk/index.php/atfj

All submissions must comply with the journal’s author guidelines, including formatting, citation style, and ethical compliance requirements.

2. Initial Screening and Plagiarism Check

Upon receipt, the editorial office conducts a preliminary screening to ensure that the manuscript:

  • Aligns with the journal's focus areas (technology, engineering, applied sciences)

  • Meets institutional and ethical research standards

  • Passes plagiarism detection using Turnitin or equivalent software

Note: Manuscripts exceeding a 15% similarity index may be returned for revision or rejected.

3. Assignment to Section Editor

If the manuscript passes initial checks, it is assigned to an appropriate Section Editor based on its subject area. The editor evaluates the submission for:

  • Originality and technological relevance

  • Methodological rigor and clarity

  • Contribution to engineering or applied science fields

4. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts meeting editorial standards are sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Reviewers assess:

  • Novelty and impact of the research

  • Soundness of methodology and technical execution

  • Relevance to current trends and challenges in technology or engineering

  • Validity of data and results

  • Ethical compliance and integrity

5. Reviewer Recommendations

Reviewers submit one of the following decisions:

Accept as is
✏️ Accept with minor revisions
???? Major revisions required
Reject

6. Editorial Decision

Based on reviewer feedback, the Section Editor—sometimes in consultation with the Editor-in-Chief—makes a final decision. Authors receive a detailed decision letter with anonymized reviewer comments and specific revision guidelines, if necessary.

7. Author Revisions

Authors must revise and resubmit their manuscripts within the given timeframe, addressing reviewer comments through a point-by-point response. Revised manuscripts may:

  • Undergo a second round of peer review

  • Or be evaluated internally by the editorial team

8. Final Acceptance

Once all concerns are addressed and the manuscript meets scholarly standards, a formal acceptance letter is issued, and the article proceeds to the production stage.

9. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted papers undergo meticulous editorial editing for:

  • Technical accuracy

  • Clarity and flow

  • Formatting consistency

  • Grammatical precision

Authors are provided with final proofs for review and approval prior to publication.

10. Online Publication

Finalized articles are published in the next available issue of ATFJ and made openly accessible under the journal’s licensing and publication policies.

11. Post-Publication Dissemination

To ensure visibility and impact, ATFJ actively promotes published articles through:

  • Inclusion in academic indexing databases

  • Engineering and tech research networks

  • Social media and digital newsletters

  • Citation alerts and partnerships with academic institutions

Authors are encouraged to disseminate their work to maximize academic reach, industry engagement, and citation impact.
