The ACADEMIA Tech Frontiers Journal (ATFJ) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, scientific rigor, and ethical conduct throughout the editorial and publication lifecycle. These editorial guidelines serve as a framework for authors, reviewers, and editors to ensure fairness, consistency, and scholarly excellence in all contributions.


1. Submission and Initial Evaluation

Scope and Relevance
ATFJ accepts original research, technical innovations, theoretical advancements, and critical reviews in engineering, technology, and applied sciences. Relevant fields include (but are not limited to): Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Civil & Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics, Renewable Energy, Data Science, Robotics, IoT, and Software Engineering. Authors are encouraged to review the journal’s Aims & Scope before submission.

Plagiarism Screening
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin). ATFJ maintains a strict 15% similarity threshold. Manuscripts exceeding this limit may be returned for revision or rejected outright.

Formatting Requirements
Submissions must comply with ATFJ’s Author Guidelines and should include:

  • Title, author(s), and institutional affiliations

  • Abstract with relevant keywords

  • Structured manuscript (IMRAD or relevant structure for technical work)

  • References (IEEE or APA preferred)

  • Tables, figures, equations, and appendices where applicable

  • Ethical declarations and conflict of interest disclosures

Licensing Terms
All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC BY-NC 4.0) license, allowing sharing with proper attribution for non-commercial purposes.


2. Peer Review Policy

Double-Blind Review
ATFJ follows a double-blind peer review process to maintain impartiality. Both author and reviewer identities are kept confidential.

Reviewer Selection and Ethics
Reviewers are chosen for their subject matter expertise and must disclose any conflicts of interest. Reviewers are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and provide objective, constructive evaluations.

Review Timelines
Reviewers are requested to submit evaluations within 2 to 4 weeks. The editorial office actively monitors the process to ensure timely communication and decisions.


3. Editorial Decision-Making

Decision Outcomes
Based on peer review feedback, the editorial board may issue one of the following decisions:

Accept
✏️ Minor or major revisions
Reject

Authors receive a decision letter with anonymized reviewer comments and clear revision instructions.

Revisions and Resubmissions
Authors must revise manuscripts in line with reviewer feedback and submit a detailed response within the given deadline. Major revisions may undergo an additional review round.

Appeals
Authors who wish to appeal a decision must provide a written justification. Appeals are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief and/or an independent editorial board member.


4. Ethical Standards and Responsibilities

Authorship Criteria
All listed authors must have made substantial intellectual contributions. The corresponding author must confirm that all co-authors approve the final version and agree to the submission.

Conflict of Interest
Authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the manuscript review or editorial process.

Research Ethics Compliance
For research involving human subjects, ethical approval and informed consent documentation must be submitted. ATFJ adheres to international ethical standards in scientific and engineering research.


5. Post-Publication Policy

Corrections and Retractions
In case of post-publication issues such as errors, data manipulation, or ethical breaches, ATFJ may:

  • Issue a formal Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum)

  • Retract the article with a full explanation

  • Notify relevant indexing databases

Archiving and Preservation
All published content is securely archived to ensure long-term accessibility and citation durability.


6. Editorial Board Responsibilities

Selection and Diversity
Board members are selected based on expertise, research contributions, and professional reputation. ATFJ strives to maintain diversity in geography, institution, and discipline.

Duties and Engagement
Editorial board members are responsible for:

  • Overseeing peer review

  • Upholding journal ethics and quality standards

  • Advising on editorial policies

  • Promoting the journal within academic and professional communities

Rotation and Renewal
Board membership is periodically reviewed to ensure relevance, renewal of perspectives, and dynamic participation.
