The Requirement and Importance of Qur'anic Sciences in Understanding the Holy Qur'an for Contemporary Issues: A Research Study

Abstract

The Holy Quran is to act upon the real objectives of the revelation, and for this purpose, the comprehension of the text is inevitably unavoidable for solving the problems of all walks of life. This is the age of intricacy and perplexity that has fertility and fecundity for the extremism of social, moral, ethical, economic, ideological, and religious disorder, and for the solution, careless interpretation will cause irreparable human loss. The objective of this study is to elaborate on the functionality of the Quranic Sciences, like reason to reveal, abrogation, rules and regulations of the interpretation, exalted quality of Quranic diction and etymology, and objectives of dos and don’ts of Shariah in understanding the Quranic objectivity in connection with contemporary burning issues. An analytical and critical approach to research methodology is adopted to disclose how a profound conception of the Quranic Sciences is indispensable for a real exegete to resolve the burning issues. The inference of the study leads to the fact that without the proper application of the Quranic Sciences, extremism will emerge in all social, moral, and religious circles.
