Abstract

The purpose of this research was to explore the coping strategies employed by Pakistani university students in response to academic stressors, considering socio-cultural influences, and their impact on learning performance and coping. A quantitative research approach was employed. Using a scale comprising statements, divided into three main constructs: Strategies for Coping and Academic Performance Academic Strategies for Coping Skills for Managing Emotions The study was conducted on 150 volunteers of Women University Multan (WUM) and BZU. The results suggested that students employed different cognitive and affective coping methods to deal with academic stress. The findings showed a substantial association between the effective coping methods and the learning performance. The committee also pointed out the necessity of investigating impediments to effective coping, such as stigma and lack of access to coping resources. Results highlight the importance of being aware of coping strategies and their impact on the learning performance and coping abilities of university students in Pakistan, as well as the need for culturally responsive treatments and supports to ensure students' well-being and success in school.
