Abstract

Quality education is a vision of every nation in the 21st century. The study aimed to identify the Challenges of Quality Management at secondary level in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Pakistan. The focus of the study was on quality management considering leadership, process management, performance, resource management and improvement. This research is a struggle in secondary education after announcing and planning the educational policy 2023-40 of AJ&K State. The questionnaire was developed for data collection from students regarding quality of learners, teachers, learning environments, content, process and evaluation. Supervisors, educational and language experts had validated the instrument and the reliability was tested through SPSS. The study focused on more than 900 public secondary schools in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K). A stratified random sampling technique was used to select four districts, followed by a random sampling technique to select the secondary schools. Data were collected from 1,385 students through a survey questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, to address the research objective.
