Editorial Process

The Academia International Journal of Natural and Environmental Sciences (AIJNES) follows a transparent, rigorous, and efficient editorial process to ensure the publication of high-quality and ethically sound research in the field of natural and environmental sciences.

1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s official submission system or email. All submissions must comply with the journal’s formatting and ethical guidelines.

2. Initial Editorial Screening

The editorial office conducts a preliminary review to assess:

  • Relevance to the journal’s scope

  • Compliance with submission guidelines

  • Originality and plagiarism check

  • Basic methodological soundness

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected or returned for revision before peer review.

3. Peer Review Process

AIJNES follows a double-blind peer review process, where both reviewers and authors remain anonymous.

  • Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent experts in the relevant field

  • Reviewers assess originality, scientific quality, methodology, clarity, and contribution to the field

  • Based on reviewers’ feedback, the editorial decision is made

4. Editorial Decision

After peer review, the manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accept as is

  • Minor revisions required

  • Major revisions required

  • Reject

Authors are provided with reviewer comments and are expected to revise their manuscripts accordingly within the given timeframe.

5. Revision and Resubmission

Authors must address all reviewer comments and submit a revised version along with a response to reviewers. Revised manuscripts may be sent for further review if necessary.

6. Final Decision and Acceptance

The Editor-in-Chief or handling editor makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of revisions. Once accepted, the manuscript proceeds to the production stage.

7. Copyediting and Proofreading

Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting, formatting, and proofreading to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to journal standards.

8. Publication

The final version of the article is published online in the upcoming issue or as an Online First article. All published content is made openly accessible in accordance with the journal’s open access policy.

AIJNES is committed to ensuring a fair, unbiased, and timely editorial process that upholds the highest standards of scientific integrity and environmental research.
