Archiving Policy

Long-Term Digital Preservation

The Academia Journal of Strategic Management and Finance (AJSMF) is committed to the permanent availability of all content it publishes. Should the journal ever cease publication, all published articles will remain accessible to readers.

AJSMF content is preserved through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a LOCKSS-based private network that creates distributed, secure copies of journals published on Open Journal Systems (OJS). In the event that the journal is no longer available online, the PKP PN makes the archived content openly accessible.

Publisher-Level Archiving

In addition to the PKP PN, the publisher, ACADEMIA (PRIVATE) LIMITED, maintains:

  • regular automated backups of the journal website, database and all article files;
  • off-site copies of all published PDFs and metadata;
  • a permanent online archive of all past issues on the journal website, freely available without registration.

Persistent Identifiers

Each article is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) so that it can be permanently located and cited, even if its web address changes.

Self-Archiving (Repository Policy)

AJSMF allows authors to deposit all versions of their work in any repository or website, without embargo:

  • Preprint (submitted version, before peer review)
  • Postprint (accepted manuscript, after peer review)
  • Version of Record (final published PDF from AJSMF)

Authors may deposit these versions in institutional repositories, subject repositories (e.g. SSRN, Zenodo), funder repositories, academic social networks and personal websites. No permission from the journal is required. When depositing the published version, authors should cite the original publication in AJSMF and include a link to the article's DOI.

Licence of Archived Content

All archived content remains available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence, under which it was originally published.

Ethical Standards

AJSMF follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, and complies with the quality standards of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
